Research interests: 

Faunistics, speciation of the Paramecium aurelia species complex, genetic differentiation of taxonomic species of Paramecium genus, molecular phylogeny, molecular genetics and functional analysis of the Paramecium genome.All studies are carried out using living strains belonging to our huge strain collection  (more than 400 strains) composed of P. aurelia spp. and other Paramecium species from different geographical regions of the world.
